MCC’s 2010 Breastfeeding-Friendly Business Awardees!
Congratulations to the 2010 Breastfeeding-Friendly Business Award winners: The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Trolley Car Diner, and the Health Federation of Philadelphia’s Early Head Start Program. These Philadelphia-based employers were recognized for their exceptional efforts to support breastfeeding employees, ahead of the nation’s laws. Section 4207 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), or health care reform, requires workplace breastfeeding support, effective March 23, 2010. As part of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s Get Healthy Philly initiative, Maternity Care Coalition is promoting the health and economic benefits of breastfeeding to strengthen breastfeeding support in Philadelphia workplaces.
