Other than prenantal vitamins, Can I take things like vitamin C,D,E, ect.. I am 6 weeks along and I dont have my first Doc appt until next friday. They think that vitamins have chemicals in them and therefore vitamins are bad for you. They believe as long as the mother eats healthy foods that the baby will be just fine. Her mother and mother-in-law never took any vitamins and their children turned out fine. Background information: My friend is asian and she had one still born birth last year at 5 months. She never took prenatal vitamins during that pregnancy and she thinks that she lost the baby because she had an infection.
